Lurchers jug

This jug features transfer printed drawings by Brita Granström and Mick Manning with pink lustre decoration and the famous poetic description by Juliana Berners in 1461.

Mick and Brita have a pair of lurchers, Hilda and Nelly, the inspiration for this design.

This is the smaller of our jug sizes, holding 1 pint and being 11.5 cm tall with a 9cm diameter at base and neck. The fifth picture here shows Hilda with a large jug version of this design, which is made to order.

The hand-made nature of our ware means that it is subject to minor imperfections, just like those from the early C19 that are our inspiration. There will be some variation in decoration.
