Owl and Pussy-cat small jug

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat was written by Edward Lear in 1870. It is the best known of his nonsense verse for children for which he made his own illustrations.

This small jug with its pretty foot has a height of 9cm (3.5") and holds a third of a pint.

There will be some variation in the lustre decortion, and the earthenware will be subject to minor imperfections, just like the C19 originals that are the inspiration.
