This half pint mug has been hand decorated in the style of C19 Sunderland lustre ware to celebrate Thomas Paine, writer, thinker, campaigner, bridge-builder, son of Lewes and citizen of the world.
Slipcast earthenware glazed ceramic
8.5cm tall, 8.5cm diameter
Transfer print and pink lustre decoration. There will be some variation in the hand sponging and painting.
The cup in the photograph is an example. Lustre decoration gives minor variations, the one you will receive will look almost, but not perfectly, identical.
